About our Didgeridoos
Each "Cloud 9" didgeridoo is hand-crafted from wood, either Oak or Birch, depending on what is available. And although each one is unique, we do have complete control over the internal dimensions allowing us to pre-determine the didgeridoos' tone and playability, i.e., back-pressure, toot intervals, harmonics, vocalizations.
We also put our trade-marked logo,
a 9-sided spiral, on each didge, marking it as an authentic "Cloud 9" didgeridoo.
Before we seal & epoxy the outside of a didge, we usually use small rope or string around the mouthpiece
and bell
, or sometimes on the inside of the bell, making the "Cloud 9 Didgeridoo" extremely durable.
We also use hand-shaped hardwood mouthpieces
since bees-wax, the traditional material for didgeridoo mouthpieces, tends to be fragile and gets soft at higher temperatures.
We twist our didgeridoos
to create a more complex tone and for increased back-pressure and improved sound projection.
"Cloud 9 Didgeridoos" welcomes your custom artwork and/or specifications.
